Join Us for the February Guild Meeting.

Philanthropy Blocks
As an ongoing project we would like to collect a selection of polaroid blocks. Tutorial as follows:
To start fussy cut a 3.5" square.
Then cut 4 white strips as follows :-
2 strips 3.5" x 1.5" (these will be sewn to the sides of the square)
1 strip 6.5' x 1.5" (this will be sewn to the top)
1 strip 6.5" x 2.5" (this will be sewn to the bottom)
Et voilà – you're done!

Please make as many (or few) of these as you like and bring to meetings. We will organize piecing them into a quilt top at a future weekend sew.
Other than framing with white strips anything goes on these.
Also, we will gladly accept any 'orphan blocks', assembled blocks, batting (we will piece if necessary) and fabric for quilt backs that you have lying around looking for a good home.
Easy snacks are welcome and appreciated!

I can't make it to this month's meeting! But I will leave my Madrona Road quilt at the shop to share with you guys - I had a fun time with the challenge! Also, THANK YOU to my bee mates for working on my honey hexagon blocks! I'll leave a bag at Sewing Party to collect them.
