Darly'sSimplySummer

This is my class sample of Simply Summer I made with scraps of Free Spirit fabric. The pattern calls for 16" squares to start with. I had 13" squares so this quilt is smaller than the original pattern but still so cute. I used the fused applique technique used by Abbey Lane Quilts ladies. Fast and Fun. Class is July 7 at The Calico House in Placentia.

The Improv blocks in Simply Summer are the same blocks in Simply Haunting. The difference is whether you applique flowers or haunted houses and your fabric choice. If you were vacationing July 7 and wanted to take this class you have a second chance. I am teaching this class on Sunday, October 7th at Flying Geese Fabric in historic old town Tustin. Join us for a fun day of Improvisational piecing, no templates or precision, and machine applique.
